Well, things can't always stay the same, unfortunately. I have to return to work, sadly, in just over a week. In preparation for the inevitable transition to the bottle, Ava had her first bottle yesterday. I have to admit, I was pretty sad about it. Jake had never given a baby a bottle, and Ava had never eaten from a bottle, so it was a learning experience for them both. They both performed wonderfully, reassuring us all that it will be me who has the most difficult time with the upcoming change.
Ava had a visit from her Aunts Emily and Val, Uncle Mark, and Cousin Aidan this weekend. It was a pretty lively weekend with a two-year-old to keep Ava company. Aidan was even nice enough to share his blankie and pacifier with Reese.
