It is hard to believe, but Ava is one month old today! The time sure is flying by. Each day we are getting to know her more and more, and the panic associated with her crying is largely gone now that we are (usually) able to figure out what it is she is upset about. She continues to be more and more alert, watching us intently as we talk to her or make up silly songs. Admittedly I'm the one making up most of the silly songs.

We have continued our daily routine of walking to the coffee shop most afternoons. They are getting to know us pretty well!

Ava is improving her sleeping skills, though she's still got some room to go. She usually sleeps for at least one, and sometimes two, three-hour stretches at night. Which makes for a much easier day the next day!

I am sure enjoying my time off of work to spend time with Ava, and I am sad to think about going back in just over two weeks. I think I will have a much harder time adjusting than Ava will!
Ava and I were ready to walk out the door on our first shopping trip, when she had a milk explosion all over herself and me, as you can see here.
All cleaned up and ready to go to the mall, which was a success!
