Second Haircut

It was time for another visit to The Hairy Elephant to get Ava's hair cut this weekend. She was such a big girl and didn't even cry or whine once! She was so excited to sit in the yellow car chair and watch Curious George (which she has been talking about ever since...it may be time to add Curious George to our DVD library!). Of course, I forgot to bring a diaper, which means that she pooped as soon as we got to the salon. So poor Jake had to race across the street to Target to pick up the necessary supplies.

Here she is showing off her penguin jacket before we left. My mom gave her this jacket for Christmas, and she loves it. She wants to wear it everywhere. We usually oblige, but when the temperatures were in the single digits last week we had to insist that she wear a real winter coat.

All done! I didn't have them take off much length, just even it out a bit.

Ava was such a good girl, so we stopped by the bakery on the way home. As soon as she walked in, she ran to the display case and pointed to the clown cookie and said that she wanted it. We tried to show her all the other cookies in case she's rather have another one, but she was quite certain of her decision on the clown. She enjoyed it all the way home! And we now have red and green frosting all over our car....
