The Jennings' Take Gotham City

We drove up to Chicago this weekend to help Aidan celebrate his fourth birthday, Batman style. It was a costume party, and everyone had to come dressed as a Batman character. I was actually surprised that there were only two duplicates. The best part of the whole party is that Batman got hot after about 10 minutes, and refused to wear his costume. So there was an apartment full of adults dressed as Batman characters, and a four-year-old in street clothes for the entire party. Jake threatened that we could pretty much tell Mark and Emily that they had to do ANYTHING for Ava's upcoming birthday party, and they would have no option but to oblige.

Here Ava is trying on part of her Daddy's costume at our house the night before we left:

Batgirl and The Riddler (aka The Riddler Sr., or The Riddler - Weekend Edition):

Catwoman (cute version) was just waking up from her catnap when the party was getting started:

We managed to get a few pictures snapped before the Batman costume came off! Here are Batman, The Joker, and Catwoman (sexy version):

The Riddler (aka The Riddler Jr., or The Riddler - Business Attire), Poison Ivy, and Catwoman:

Batman and his cake:

The villains just chillin' on the couch:

And his trusty sidekick has arrived!! Batman and Robin!!

Batman and his favorite ladies:

Catwoman finally woke up from her slumber:

Sisters, comic-book style:

Ava took a no-nonsense approach to her ice cream:

And....post-ice cream:

Looks like everyone had a lot of fun. Too bad we were not invited as we would have not only enjoyed the party, but it would have been nice to see everyone without having to drive 6 hours down to Equality.
