Well, our Halloween this year seemed to be full of many more tricks than treats! We had quite a disastrous evening. To begin, Ava is sick with a fever and cough, and feeling pretty puny. We didn't think we'd be able to go trick or treating at all. After a little Tylenol, she perked up a bit so we decided to try to get in some Halloween fun while we could.
We got Ava all dressed up and went walking around the neighborhood to visit the houses of people we know, and not ONE of them was home! So basically we dragged a sick baby out in the cold for nothing. So then we decided to try to take her by our friends', the Voss's, who live about a half mile away or so. So we loaded her up in the car and about halfway there she threw up all over her costume. So we headed back home and put the poor baby to bed.
On top of all that, we only had four trick or treaters come to our house tonight! Boo! Jake and I will be gaining some significant weight trying to finish off all this Halloween candy, so I don't want to hear any comments about it. :)
Pebbles Flintstone and her adorable homemade candy bag (which didn't get any use...save it for next year!)
Flintstones... Meet the Flintstones,
They're a modern stoneage family.
Ok. There was major chaos at our house trying to get all of us ready, fix dinner, and keep Ava's costume clean. We made many attempts at getting a family photo, but in the end were never able to get all the elements of our costumes in the photo at once. You can play the "what's missing from the photo" game below.

Answers: A - Wilma...I hit the "take" button before the "timer" button. B - Fred forgot to put on his tie. C - Pearls...I took them off to put puny Ava to bed and forgot to put them back on. D - Pebbles! Jake and I finally got our outfits together, but alas, our little Pebbles was fast asleep. Maybe next year....

Oh, Pebbles is a Doll! I was looking forward to the pictures as Jake had told me about the planned getup. Not sure which one I liked better - this year, or last year's, as Juno is one of my favorite movies. Sounded like your neighborhood was like ours - a total bust. We - I mean Gianna - didn't end up with much candy ...sigh...
