Cat?

I fully admit it. I am plagued with new mother optimism. And my child is only 7 months old. But she has started incorporating more consonants into her "vocabulary" lately, and to Jake and I, it really sounds like she has started saying her first word. Maybe it's because we're always talking to her about the cats, or because she adores them (and at least one of them adores her). But she sure sounds to us like she's saying "cat", and she pretty much only says it when she sees them.
