Shower her with love...and a lot of pink gifts!

Today I had my first baby shower here in St. Louis. Jen, Monica, and Libby did such a fantastic job of throwing a very girly, very pink party! The food was delicious and the games were so cute. There was one game in which they had asked Jake to answer a series of questions about plans for parenting the little one, then we had to see if my responses correlated with his. All in all, it seems like we see pretty eye-to-eye. Except I am apparently willing to let her date a little sooner than he is...not surprising!

We are now much further along the way in terms of being prepared for the little one's arrival. We received adorable towels and clothes, her boppy, bedding, and even a head start on her college fund! I was so grateful for all of the wonderful people who came to show their support for me and this baby girl - I'm truly blessed to be surrounded by such great friends and co-workers! While we were busy being ladies, Jake had some guy friends over for a "beer for diapers" party. Jake provided the beer and pulled pork, and the guys came over with diapers to watch football and help celebrate his last few weeks before fatherhood. Jake says that the universal comment on arrival was "I didn't know diapers were so expensive!"

Here are some photos from my shower!

Me and a pile of girly presents.
