Nesting

I have been nesting all week. It has been wonderful. All of the baby girl's clothes and blankets have been washed, folded, and put into their places. The crib bedding has been washed and the bed is made. Shelves are filling up and stacks of diapers are making their way into the closet. Miniature "emergencies" have had me running to the store. (How could we make it another day without a mattress pad? Exactly. We couldn't.)

As all of the baby items are finding their places, I am finally feeling much more prepared for her arrival. With that is coming immense excitement and impatience for her debut! For the past few nights, I have laid in bed for hours unable to turn my mind off and go to sleep. I keep thinking about little details I need to accomplish before she gets here, what it will be like when she comes, what kind of a baby will she be... When I finally get to sleep, she then decides to rearrange the furniture in her little tiny uterine home and wakes me up repeatedly with her gymnastics!

As if the giant spontaneous movements of my belly weren't enough reminder of the growing baby (filling her more and more cramped space), each day the bouts of low back pain, Braxton-Hicks contractions, and shots of sciatic nerve pain are getting more frequent and more intense, often stopping me in my tracks. That being said, I feel like I've had a pretty easy preganancy all in all, and am continuing to enjoy carrying her with me wherever I go.

Here are a few pictures from my nesting this week:
Jake caught me and the baby taking a break.
Bella is extremely helpful.
A few shots of the nursery! Very pink.
