It is hard to believe, but our "little" Ava is in Kindergarten! She started on August 11 at the Kennard Classical Junior Academy. She absolutely loves her teacher, Ms. Rouse, and has already made some good friends in her class. She has to wear a uniform every day, which she isn't thrilled about because she's apparently "not a navy blue kind of girl", but she's surviving it. So far every day she has come home with a green or a purple star for their behavior chart. This week apparently they are learning about being citizens in a community, and at the dinner prayer tonight she thanked God that "Mommy is a good citizen."
Here is Ava at the open house, sitting at her desk.
First day of school. I nearly cried, but managed to hold it together.
Ava has been missing her dear friends from Casa Dia some, so we had a Casa reunion over hamburgers and chicken nuggets with Claire, Owen, Addison, and Will.
