Patrick is finally here! After all our waiting, he was totally worth it!! On Monday, my amniotic fluid levels were low at my doctor's visit. After hydrating overnight, they were lower yet when I came back on Tuesday, so the decision was made to go ahead and induce me on Tuesday. I was a little disappointed to end up having to be induced, but I'm confident it was the right decision. I have to say, this labor and delivery was MUCH easier than Ava's was.
Patrick arrived at 11:30 pm on October 9th. He weighed 7 lbs 15 oz, and was 20 inches long. He is an absolute doll. "Patrick" is my dad's middle name. "Augustine" is after St. Augustine - one of the greatest thinkers in church history.
Other than loving to stay up all night and sleep all day, he's been a pretty easy baby thus far. He's a great eater and is overall pretty calm and easy going thus far. We'll see what the next few weeks bring us. :) We are absolutely in love with him, and overjoyed to bring him into our little family.
