We've had a very busy past few weeks, and I need to catch up. Ava had her end of the year school program, the "Cantata", a few weeks ago. She did a great job singing and dancing to Sugarland and Katy Perry....we have recently discovered that she knows all the words to all the songs that all the classes danced to. So she's been jamming in the backseat of the car quite a bit.

We've had some really hot weather for May, so we've spent a lot of time in the bathing suit. We've been to the City Gardens with her friend Addison, Tower Grove Park fountains after church the past two Sundays, and we've spent a lot of time playing in the kiddie pool and hose at our house. Ava's new favorite water game is to use the hose to make it "rain", so that she has to stand under her umbrella. Always with her sunglasses on.

For Memorial Day weekend, we were bummed to miss out on two fun family get togethers - one with the Jennings' and one with the Lindleys. Unfortunately I had to work Sunday and Monday, so we were stuck in town. We made the most of it, though, and actually had a really nice, relaxing weekend. Saturday we took Ava to Six Flags, where she rode on some rides and had great time in the water park.
Finally, Ava moved this weekend into her new big girl room! We have been working on it for probably a month now, and it is finally more or less finished. She is very excited that it is green and pink and that it has butterflies. She's been doing a great job of sleeping in her new bed. We have much more storage in this room, which makes her toys much more accessible. That's mostly good in that she has been able to get them out and play with things she hasn't played with in months. On the other hand, after she was quiet for an hour during naptime Monday, I went to check in on her and she was in her closet, dressed head to toe as Belle (crown included). You win some, you lose some. :)
