Well, last night was total chaos in our house, trying to get dinner ready with a fussy Patrick, then get everyone's costumes on and out of the house to trick or treat. I then realized after we had returned from trick or treating that my SD card wasn't in my camera...so my pictures are pretty limited. The only one I managed to get of them together had Ava closing her eyes and Patrick screaming, so I guess not all that much was lost. :)
The kids did great trick or treating - after not napping all day, Patrick slept the whole time while Ava was on candy patrol. After we finished trick or treating, we came back home to hand out candy to other trick or treaters. I think this was actually Ava's favorite part of the night.

So, in St. Louis there is this tradition that instead of saying "Trick or treat" you are supposed to tell a joke in order to get the candy. Here is a little video of Ava LOVING hearing the jokes and handing out candy on our porch:
