38 Weeks. And Counting.

We're under the 2 week mark.  Theoretically.  Assuming this baby decides to show up on time.  Ava told me today she thinks he will be born next Sunday.  That would be ok with me, and I figure she's just as likely to be right as anyone else at this point. :)

We got some good news at our appointment last week - I'm starting to dilate a little bit so I'm hoping that's a good sign.  Unfortunately I also found out my OB will be out of town the week I'm due. :(  So now I'm kind of hoping the baby will decide to show up sometime late this week so our doctor will be able to do the delivery himself.  Who knows...maybe the baby is comfortable enough in there that he'll decide to be late and the doctor will be back.  Hard to say!

We have been telling Ava all year that the baby will be here when it's Fall.  Well, she discovered that yesterday was the first day of Fall, so now she wants to know why he's not here  yet.  We promised her it will be very soon.  In fact, if I go a week overdue, my doctor will induce me...so that means it's definitely NO MORE THAN 3 weeks from now!  Kind of hard to believe!

My next appointment is on Tuesday.  Hoping for more good news!  And hoping for a baby before I make my next post!! :)
