Ava and Patrick had their 4 year and 4 month check ups last week. They're both gonna be tall and thin, it looks like. Ava is in the 90th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight. Patrick is in the 75th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight.
Ava I think actually really enjoyed her check up. Probably because she didn't have to get any shots this time. When the doctor asked her if she slept in a pull up or just her pajamas, she replied, "My pajamas. And pajamas starts with 'P'." She is getting so close to reading. We have a few "early reader" books that I have been reading with her before bed, and she's starting to recognize words and can almost always figure out what sounds the words start with. I give it a couple months and she'll be doing it on her own.
Patrick has given us a few 4 hour stretches of sleep this week. Hoping this is a trend that continues. He is officially rolling over, but continues to be camera shy with his tricks. This morning I laid Patrick down on his back to go put something in the diaper bag. This is what I found when I got back a few seconds later.
