The best part of call is post-call

And the best part of post-call is Ava! I got home from call this morning and took a little nap. Then I went and picked Ava up early from school and took her to the Laumeyer Sculpture Park, which is this awesome sculpture park just down the street from her school.

Today was Ava's first day back at school after an awesome summer break with Meredith. She had a great first day back. "Did you like your teachers today?" "Yes, because they were pretty." Oh boy...

Ava is such a little rascal. All summer she has refused to sit on the potty. If you even bring it up, she starts screaming and crying, so we have chosen not to fight that battle...figuring it would just make things worse and that she'd start using it again when she was ready. Of course, today at school, she stayed dry the entire day except during her nap and used the potty three times. Little stinker.
