Leavin' on a jet plane

Ava had a very big week last week. We flew to Atlanta (Ava's first plane trip!) and spent the week on vacation in Knoxville visiting family and Atlanta visiting friends. Ava was such a good little traveler, though she was pretty worn out by the end! Here are some pictures from her adventures.

Happy 4th of July! Ava was pretty tired by the time this picture was taken. She had already flown to Atlanta then driven to Knoxville, with an hour long baby clothes shopping spree along the way!



Ready for a little dip....almost. We tried to take Ava swimming for the first time. She was all dolled up in her cute monkey swimming suit, matching sandals, and covered in the highest SPF I could find. Then thunderstorms decided to roll in as soon as we got to the pool. So no swimming for this little fish. Hopefully we'll have another chance soon! This is Ava looking sad that she didn't get to swim.



Puppy! Ava has started to really notice pets. She was so happy to play with Max and Furter. She has also started really loving our cats at home - she watches them play, laughs and squeals at them, and reaches out to pet them. We're working on teaching her how to "pet nicely"...hopefully avoiding TOO many future pulled cat-tails and hissing felines.
