Red Rover, Red Rover....

Send Ava right over! Ava rolled over last weekend. My mom thought that I was having "new motherhood optimism" when I told her Ava was trying to roll over already. But not 10 minutes after walking in the door for Mother's Day weekend, Ava rolled right over! She hasn't done it again since then but spends a lot of time on her side now. But she had plenty of witnesses to confirm her new trick!

Ava practicing her new skills.

Things have been quite busy around here...this whole working full-time while raising a newborn is keeping us on our toes. Ava has been in daycare for about 4 weeks now and is doing very well there. All of the other kids love her and want to take turns patting her. She has of course already been sick twice since starting daycare. Other than feeling pretty puny for a few days, she's come out no worse for the wear.

Ava on her first day of daycare. She's not exactly sure what she's in for...

Ava has also really started playing with her toys. She likes to grab them and shake them to make noises, and now she's starting to try to put things into her mouth. I guess that means the 200 choking hazards that make up her beads may have to be soon put away...

Celebrating my 28th birthday.

Snoozing with Reese.
