On Wednesday, we had our 20 week anatomy scan, and found out that we are having a baby girl! We are thrilled. Val has already informed me that she will likely require her sock seams to be exactly on the edges of her toes. Thanks for the reminder. Emily told Aidan that he was having a girl cousin, but he seemed to be more interested in digging in the dirt. I'm sure he'll be teaching her a whole slew of yucky boy tricks that involve creepy crawly things.
I couldn't resist and have already begun the purchasing of some girly things. I got her a cute little dress for next spring as well as an adorable outfit to come home from the hospital in. It has flowers and lace and bows, so her gender should be evident to all onlookers!
Jake was happy to see that all of her anatomy, including her little feet, look like they are developing perfectly. He's already planning some long sprint workouts for her, I believe. She is certainly getting a workout pretty regularly in my belly as she's kicking pretty hard now. You can see my belly moving as she practices her gymnastics. She's especially active when I get home and lie down at night after a long day. We'll continue to keep you updated at the little one continues to grow!
