9 months and counting!

We were quite surprised to find out that we were expecting a little Lindley, but are absolutely thrilled with the news. The flurry of potterybarn kids and pondering over baby names and sleepless nights (out of excitement!) have already begun! We learned that during the seventh week, our baby was the size of a blueberry, and have since been affectionately calling our little Dr. Kate or Engineer Jake our "blueberry". Hence the name of the blog. So far I have had lots of nausea and vomiting. It's a challenge to take care of someone in the ER for pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting when you're vomiting more than the patient during the shift! It appears (hopefully) that that aspect of things is starting to ease up just a bit. It has certainly prevented me from gaining any weight during the past month, and I've actually lost a few pounds. So no baby bump yet! Our blueberry is already being showered with love from family and friends, and we are anxiously awaiting this nine month countdown to meeting the little booger.





Yes, you know me. I am very thorough. I checked twice. It's still positive.
